So my hubby just came back from a trip to the Philippines 🇵🇭 and I specifically asked him to bring me the oh-so-famous 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮 — I’ve been hearing about it for ages and couldn’t resist the hype! 😄💕
I was super curious to see what the fuss was all about!
First of all, the packaging? Absolutely charming 💌✨ And the texture is really soft and delicate — it definitely has that homemade, artisanal feel 🌿
Buuuut… if I’m being completely honest (with a kind heart! 💖), it didn’t quite blow me away 😅
It’s good, yes — but I personally found it a little overrated and quite pricey for what it is 💸 Maybe I just had sky-high expectations after all the hype? 😬
Since I was already in pasalubong-request mode, I also asked him to bring home the 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿 and the 𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗿 so we could try a few more goodies from Mary Grace 🍫🍋
The 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿 was rich and very sweet — a bit too sweet for our taste.
The 𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗮𝗿, while also just okay, was the most balanced of the three — zesty and refreshing enough to stand out a little. So far, it’s our favorite among the bunch… but still not something we’d go out of our way for next time 😅🍋
That said, I truly appreciate the love and care that clearly goes into their products 💕
And I completely understand why so many people have an emotional connection to them.
𝗧𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 — and that’s the beauty of it. What’s “just okay” for us might be a comforting classic for someone else ✨🍽️
I’m still really glad we got to try it all! 😊
I’d still be open to trying more from their menu in the future (especially with a cup of barako coffee next time! ☕💭)
